How are my transfers protected from being viewed by others?
Hello LS,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you.

Our app does not operate using servers so your content (photos / videos) are not stored on any server or network of any kind when you are transferring between devices. There is no public access to your files at all.

Your device and computer create a network between devices and with that, only you can see the content being transferred. We do not haves access to your personal files, photos, videos or content because of that unique connection created between your devices. So the only people who can see your photos i anyone looking physically at your computer screen.

I wanted to mention that we have included a feature to password protect the access to the transfer web page. If you wish to enable this then simply open the 'Settings' app on your device and scroll down until you find the settings for our app (listed as 'Transfer'). Then you can go to 'Web page password' entry and enable access.

I hope this helps answer your question! Please let me know if I can assist you further!

Kind Regards,

Amber

Thanks Amber, appreciate the prompt answer.

So, If I understand correctly, a simplistic explanation would be that the files are uploaded to the router from one device and the router downloads the files to the other device, never actually sending the files outside the local network, that is never sending the files into the WWW where anyone else could view them. In principle would be the same as using a transfer cable, but in this scenario, the router is the cable?....
Dear LS,

No problem at all :)

It is sent directly from your iDevice to computer and computer to iDevice. You use the IP address ( created by your router ) to use as a platform to view and download your files and content.

So the only person who can see them would be you (or anyone else who can look at your screen / monitor ). Again nothing is stored on a website or server anywhere. The files are not going anywhere else or onto any outside local network.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions! I am happy to help!

Kind Regards,

Amber

Hi LS,

Correct, your files are never actually sent outside the local network. All the communication happens inside of the network. You could even disconnect the internet cable from your router and the transfer would still work.

We hope our app will be useful to you!

Best,

Enrique
