Opening Photo Transfer App on iMac

I have a brand new iMac. Unlike every other Mac Store app I have, the Photo Transfer App is not located in my Applications folder. I have to go to the Mac Store, find the app and click on Open, and it does. Is this an Apple thing? It's not a big thing, just wondering why the app doesn't install so I can run it from my Applications folder.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. That is odd, if the app is installed on your mac then it should be listed inside of the applications folder as "Photo Transfer App.app". Open a Finder window, go to the Applications folder and then list items by name, the app should be there.
