Storage Low/Manage Settings Prompt Keeps Interrupting Transfer from iPhone to Mac
Please help!! I have been using this app for a few months now and generally never have a problem transferring videos from my iPhone 4S to my Macbook. Today, I have been trying, all day long to download a video from my phone to my computer and every time I initialize a download, I get an error message on my phone telling me I'm running low on storage with a prompt to manage storage in my settings. Wellllll....I know I'm running low which is why I'm trying to transfer photos and videos off of my phone! When this happens, it closes the app on my phone and interrupts the transfer and I start the process all over again. NOTHING else is using the Wi-Fi and the phone is either next to or on top of the computer. I've tried turning my phone off/on, resetting the router, restarting my computer and dragging the file from the desktop app to the folder. I've also tried to transfer using the old method (pre desktop app) by typing my phone's address into the browser with the same result. Is there a bug I'm not aware of? I AM GOING CRAZY!!! Why won't this work???

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Our app needs some extra space to transfer your photos and videos. We have to first create a copy of the video before it is transferred to your computer which requires some extra free space on the device. If you can, please try to clear up some space on your iPhone by deleting maybe other apps that require a lot of space on the device.
Also, let's re-install our app on your device so we are sure that there is no temporary files that may be taking extra space. Please delete our app from your device and install it again from the app store (don't worry you will not be charged again to re-install the app). Then after you made some extra space on the iPhone please try your transfer again.
I hope this helps you! Please let us know if you have any other question or continue having issues.
Best,
Enrique
Photo Transfer App
I am close to my phone's capacity so I must transfer a few photos, close the app to delete the photos, restart the app and transfer a few more, and repeat.
I keep checking the amount of disk space the app is using and it continues to grow, even after restarting the app (i.e. it isn't cleaning up after itself). I can delete the app and re-install it to clear out the temp files but that isn't a workable solution for the long term.
Please tell me I am doing something wrong or that this is a known bug that will be fixed very soon. Downloading about 20 photos to my MacBook generated about 250 MB of usage in the app, even after the successful transfer finished and I restarting the app.
Thanks for posting your comment here. I'm sorry about this problem. We introduced this storage bug on the last update and we have corrected our code. We are trying to finish some other enhancements to the app to push an update to correct this problem soon. However, downloading 20 photos should not create the 250 MB storage, did you transfer a video maybe? Also, this problem should only occur if there is a connection interruption, if the transfer succeeds then the files should be cleared up. In any case, I apologize for the problem. We will try to push the update as soon as possible.
Best,
Enrique
