Transfer between droid and iPad devices

Karla 13 years ago updated 12 years ago 8
Greetings, I just purchase your product for both my droid bionic and ipad2 devices.
On the iPad app version there is no icon to select for receiving photos/videos from and android device. I've tried using Bluetooth: paired both devices manually but your app gets stuck trying to locate my droid even when it's already connected. I've tried wireless to no avail and then used the manual URL entry. Was able to send just one video with this method. Your thoughts are appreciated on how to make this effort more seamless.
Hello Karla,

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you.

When selecting from Android the icon you would use would be the send/receive button. Even though it doesn't say "Android" on it, its the same process :)

We have a great walk through tutorial that shows you how to transfer from an Android Device / iDevice to an Android: http://phototransferapp.com/help/andr...

Make sure that you have your Android and iPad sharing the same wifi network. If you are trying to transfer using bluetooth make sure you have bluetooth enabled on both devices and keep the app running on both devices otherwise they will not be able to find one another.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have further questions!

Kind Regards,

Amber

I'm having the same problem. My network allows me to transfer all other data, but cannot transfer one picture. I've tried selecting all the different icons; however, none work.
Hi Justin,

I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Can you send us some information about your wifi network to our support address: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com. Send us the address that the app is giving you and the type of wifi router you have so we can help you.

Best,

Enrique

Let me just clarify that currently transferring from Android to iPhone/iPad over bluetooth is currently NOT supported on our app. To transfer photos from Android to iPhone/iPad and vice versa you need to have both devices connected to the same wifi network.

Please note that if you are using a public wifi network the connection between the devices may not be very reliable so we advice you to use a home wifi network instead. Let us know if you continue having problems. We will be happy to help!

Kind regards,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hi,

I seem to have the same problem. I have the app installed on both my Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android phone) and iPad 2. I am unable to transfer pictures from the Android phone to the iPad. It just hangs, says it is busy sending but nothing ever gets transferred.

Thanks,

Jeremy.
Dear Jeremy,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Does this problem happen if you select a different set of photos? Also, just to test, can you try sending just 1 individual photo to see if the app hangs or if the single photo is transferred? Let us know your results, we will be glad to continue helping you.

Best,

Enrique

Thanks for the reply. I have tried just one photo, also different photos without luck. The phone that is sending stays in a loop saying it is sending, the receiving iPad eventually gives a Timeout Error.
Hi Jeremy,

I'm sorry you keep having problems. Please send us an email to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com so I can send you some more advanced troubleshooting tips. I'm very curious to see what is causing this issue and may be related to one bug that we recently discovered on HTC devices and may apply to your device as well. Thanks for your help and patience and sorry about this trouble.

Best,

Enrique
