Loading Albums not working on Mac Application

I loaded Photo Transfer App v3.3 on my iPad3 and it works fine using the web interface on my Mac to send and receive files. I loaded v1.0 on my Mac running OS 10.8. I am able to discover my iPad but when I click on it to load the albums it never returns any albums. The "Loading Albums" wheel just keep spinning. Yes I have the app running on the iPad prior to starting the app on my Mac. I have stopped and started both multiple times and I have even power cycled my iPad but the results are the same. What am I missing?

I am sorry about the delay in response, I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. I'll be happy to help you.

Make sure you have the location services turned ON. To check just go to settings -> location services - > ON (for transfer).

Yes I have had location services on per the applications instructions and no I don't get any albums loaded. What next...

OK, I found the problem. Your application on the Mac wants to connect to the device using the host name. I did not have this device in my hosts file since it is a DHCP device. To test this out, I put the host name into the file with its current IP and the application was able to connect and download the albums. Why is it using the host name and not the devices IP address? I do not want to have to remember to change my host file every time that my lease gets renewed and I happen to get a different IP address. I don't see any preferences for this application.
