Why do pics edited in Photos app transfer unedited original to PC?
If I edit a photo in the "Photos" app in iOS (ie crop/ rotate/enhance), and transfer it to PC, it shows as the original unedited version.
If I email the same picture from the Photos app, it shows the edited version.
Is this a bug?

I will be more then happy to help you.
Unfortunately Apple does not provide a programming interface to access the edited photo as a full resolution image so this is why when you download your photos to your PC you do not see the edits.
However, if you download the photos in medium resolution which is the resolution that the native 'photos' app uses to display the images on the iDevice screen then your changes should be preserved.
So what you need to do is to select the photos that you want to transfer and then select download in medium resolution from the transfer web page to be able to preserve the changes you made.
We hope that Apple will make an addition to their APIs so we can have a better way to access the photos that you edited directly on the 'Photos' app.
Note: If the above does not work, another solution is to use a different app to transform your photos and then save the changes as a new image on your iDevice, then you can use our app to transfer those edited images back to your computer.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Interesting that there are several versions stored on the iDevice..
Hopefully an API will be available soon.
Yea :( It's the same with duplicated photos. Apple designed it so that when you transfer photos to your album(s) that it also sends a copy to your camera roll.
We wish Apple handled the photos a little differently.
Please let me know if you have any more questions!

As you ask, I do have another question: When I import photos using an iPad SD card reader from my digital camera (so 'last decade', I know), the photos all get stored in an album called "All Imports" (not Camera Roll). Why does PhotoTransfer not import all files 'via' this album rather than via the Camera Roll to whatever named album I actually wanted in the first place?
Thanks,
Sol
When you import photos from an SD Card using the 'Camera connection kit' the images are not saved to the camera roll but to a separate album (( Imports )).
Unfortunately that's only an exclusive feature to Apple (being able to create a new album and putting photos inside of it without having them also on the camera roll).
Our app can definitely read that album but only transfer photos FROM it and not TO because it is protected unfortunately.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions I will be happy to help you!
Kind Regards,
Amber
