Cannot transfer a 392mb video file. Get "error" on the iPad... saying maximum size is 400mb.
Dear Dave,

Thanks for posting your problem here. I'm sorry you are having issues with the app. We did some research on our code about this and we realized that there is a conversion issue with the Megabytes and the actual number of bytes in the file. 1 Mb is equal to 1,048,576 bytes (2^20) so, your file of 392 Mb is actually: 411,041,762 bytes. Currently our limit is set to accept 400,000,000 bytes which is why you get the message that the file is to big to be uploaded.

I apologize about this problem. We need to update our code to be able to accept bigger files and avoid this confusion. What we can do for now is to send you a temporary binary file with this problem fixed before we put an update on the app store. Please send us an email to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com so we can send you some instructions on how to do this. Again, sorry about this. We will try to fix this as soon as possible.

Kind regards,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
I just found this question from 1 year ago. I downloaded this app for PC-iPad video transfer yesterday (9-3-2012) and when I try to make the transfer, I get an error message that that the maximum file size is 150 meg, not 400 meg. My file is 445 meg.

Is there a solution to this issue or has the problem gotten worse?
