Network Device Discovery/Connection Issue
I have a private class C network which is 10.221.99.0 and I'm having a device discovery issue when trying to transfer videos between my iPhone 4S (running iOS 5.1.1) and my iPad 3 (also running 5.1.1) using your Photo Transfer app that I just purchased. My iPhone has a static address of 10.221.99.8 and my iPad has a static address of 10.221.99.9. In addition, I have a Dell PC on the network which also has a static address of 10.221.99.3. My issue is:
1. When going into Receive mode on my iPad, the iPad does not discover any devices on my LAN;
2. When going into Receive mode on my iPhone, it will discover my iPad as well as my Dell laptop but if I choose the iPad and then choose "Get Videos", it will time out with the message "We couldn't contact the device selected".
3. If I manually enter the correct IP/port on either my iPhone or my iPad, it will then properly connect and transfer the videos (i.e. in either direction).
I love your app -- but want to figure out the network discovery issue/bug so that I don't have to manually enter the IP address each time I use it. Note that I am a computer developer myself and set up my own network and there is nothing preventing discovery or communication between the devices on my private LAN.

Thanks for contacting us. I just replied to your email on our support inbox. I hope what I sent you is useful. My guess is that this has to do with the configuration of multicast on your router. Let me know on our support inbox the type of router you are using and if you've made any changes to its default configuration.
Best,
Enrique
