Stymied! transfer going only one way!

I have an iMac and an iPad mini. Loaded both with PTA. can transfer photos from iPad to Computer only by going to web browser address. Unable to open PT app to find "discover devices". Did I not add something additional on my iMac?

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you! I would like to suggest maybe using our Mac app to transfer photos from iDevice to your mac using our mac app:

Just install the software from the link and then launch the app on your iDevice and on the Mac. Your mac should discover your device when you click on "discover devices" button on the mac app. Also make sure that your iDevice and mac are connected to the same network.

Make sure that you have the app running while you attempt to connect to a device or to the IP address that our app gives you.
