recent photos on camera roll do not show up on my selection list to transfer to macbook

I have photos saved on my camera roll that were edited in Snapseed, then saved back to camera roll (to create a border).  When I go to transfer these they are not showing up on the select photos screen.  I was able to transfer one, when four were selected.  It only saw and transferred the one.  Even though they are on my camera roll, they simply do not show up photo transfer.
