Error message 303 when trying to download .MOV file from Google drive to iPhone 5

Hi, I recently purchased your app and the plugin to download files from Google drive to my iPhone 5. I am able to play .MOV files on my iPhone normally, however when I try to download any .MOV file from Google drive to my iPhone it gives me the following error message: "Error with domain: Ouch. An error occurred when trying to save an asset. The video may not be compatible with this device. Technical description: The operation couldn't be completed. (The video you are trying to save is not compatible with this device error 303.)" Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any help on this would be appreciated.
Hi-
I have the same problem. I just loaded the app and was doing some testing - - transferring photos, videos, etc.

Transferring photos - - works great.

Transferring video - i get the 303 error described above. The file is very small, in fact I made 5 second videos on the ipad to be sure there is no size issue and they are 'native' to ipad. They can be saved no problem to my PC, but when I delete and try to re-upload to the ipad, I get that 303 error .

Any suggestions welcome.
Hi Drew,

Thanks for contacting us. What iPad do you have and what version of iOS is it running? This error means that somehow the native Photos app is not accepting the video because it is in a format that the iPad does not understand or because the 'Photos' app can't write it to its database. We were seeing this problem more often on iOS5 and iOS6 but it seems to be improved on iOS7.

One thing to try is to simply open the 'Photos' app on your iPad and take a new photo for example to make sure that the photos database is updated and then try the transfer again. Also, check that you have enough space available on your iPad before you start the transfer.

And a final suggestion is to simply reboot the iPad to make sure that everything is refreshed as we also have seen this to help with this problem happens.

Let me know if one of these things helped!

Best,

Enrique

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems. We are aware of one issue related to downloading videos from Google Drive to iPhone when the file name has spaces. If the file that you are trying to download has spaces on the file name it may cause this problem. So please rename the file, remove the spaces and try the download again.

We are working on a fix for this and we will push an update of the app soon.

Let us know if removing the spaces worked.

Thanks,

Enrique

Hi, thanks for responding quickly. I checked the file and it doesn't have a space, just an underscore e.g. MVI_5035.MOV. Could that be the problem?
Hi,

Thanks for the extra info. There are 2 other possibilities then. One is that you may not have enough space on your device and that's why the video can't be saved. Please check that you have at least 2 times the size of the video available on your device.

The second thing may be that the video it is actually not compatible with the iPhone as it may be using a different encoding that is not understood by the iPhone. What is the source of the video? Was it taken with another iDevice or from a digital camera?

Let me know some extra info on the video.

Best,

Enrique

Ok, so I can play the file through my iPhone when it resides on Google drive, but as soon as I sync it to my phone through iTunes it won't play it. So it must be the type of .MOV file that is causing the problem. The file is from a Canon 7D camera. I figured that since it is a .MOV file, and that the iPhone supports .MOV, that it would have no problem playing. But I guess there are different types of .MOV files, some of which are supported and some are not.
Hi. Same problem here. iPhone to ipad both ios7. Selected several videos shot on iPhone to edit on ipad. 6 videos transferred and one did not - the 4th one. It is smaller than others. Name is default name. Retried and same error 3 times.
Plenty of space on ipad. Any suggestions?
Pity. This is the vid with a right whale breaching 10 feet from my boat...
Thanks
