Download problem with Internet Explorer

iDawg 14 years ago updated 14 years ago 1
When attempting to download a video by clicking on the video link or right-clicking on the link and selecting "Save Target as...", it displays binary characters on the screen, but doesn't download the movie. If i use Firefox, I have no problem downloading the movie. I am assuming this is an Internet Explorer issue, possibly with mime types. However, I have no idea how to fix this. Can someone help?
Hi there,
Thanks for posting your question. This is definitely related to the way Internet Explorer handles the video mime type as you noted it.

When you use the 'Save Target as...' option you should be able to choose a place on your hard drive to save it and then you should be able to download it normally. Please rename it to .MOV if the file was saved with .HTML extension. For some reason IE thinks that it's an HTML file and it saves it with HTML extension but renaming the file should do the trick.

I hope this answers your question. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for using Photo Transfer App!
