Autoimport pictures to ipad from watched folder on mac)

Hi!
Is there any way to automate photo transfer from my mac to the ipad? I wascthinking of something like a watched folder and an automator script to upload files (photos, would be great if you could choose just jpg and ignore raw) automatically as soon as they come in?
There would be a real demand for this in my profession
Cheers

Hello,

Thanks for posting your suggestion here. That's definitely a good idea. We are certainly thinking of ways to automate the upload/download process to cover cases like the one you mentioned. The challenge is that we would need to create a separate application that runs on the computer to be able to "watch" a folder and trigger and upload automatically.

For now we wanted to avoid asking people to install something on their computers so we decided to use a web browser only approach. However, this looks like a feature that may be useful to many people so we may add a desktop client in the (hopefully near) future.

Thanks again for your suggestion. Please let us know if you have any other comment or idea, we love hearing from people using the app. We'll keep you posted on new developments for the app.

Kind regards,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I can understand the approach and I like that you can transfer photos without any other application. for everyday use and the simple transfer of lets say snapshots and similar things it is absolutely perfect this way.

Do you think it would be possible to have such a functionality (watched folder with autoimport) realisd by an automator script? so there would be no need for another application on the computer as automator is a part of mac os x anyway. If you are interested I can tell you what exactly it is that makes me want such a functionality. There are also more potential uses for the ipad in my profession.
