Location services not enabled

Hi, I have a problem in that I can't get my location services button to switch on which I don't seem to understand why. Does anyone know if there are any settings on the Iphone 3Gs that enables the location setting? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for posting your question here. I'm sorry it took me some time to respond.

So, when you go to the Settings app on your iPhone and then go to the General - Location Services screen you can't enable the switch? I believe we had a another customer with the same problem and it had to do with a GPS malfunction on the device. What happens when you open the 'Maps' application on your device and you try the location function? Can the Maps app show where you are? Let me know.
