transferring from a remote wifi

is this true: while on a cruise ship using their wifi, i will not be able to transfer to my mac because it is not the same wifi address?

or in other words, the app will only work within range of my home wifi not when i log into a public wifi?

Dear Alan,

Thanks for contacting us. I just replied to the email you sent us. Your device and your computer must be connected to the same wifi network to be able to transfer your photos. You can use any wifi network (home or away) but your device and your computer need to be on the same location.

Please note that some public wifi networks are configured to block communication between devices inside of the network. If this is the case then you can create an 'ad-hoc' network to establish a direct connection between your computer and your device. Let me know over email and I can send you instructions on how to create the ad-hoc network depending on the computer that you are using.
