Can't connect to address given

Hi. I'm having the same problem others seem to be having. I can't connect to the address given inside the app (that address is http://10.0.0.9:8080). It's as if the address doesn't exist. Also, i'm using this on my home system. Both the iPhone and the computer are on the same wifi network. No other programs are running while i'm trying to do this.

What can i do?

Thanks for contacting us. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

From the address that you wrote it looks like you may be connected to a public or corporate wifi network, is that the case? Please note that some public/corporate wifi networks are configured to block communication between devices for security reasons.

Also, if you are using an Apple Extreme wifi router please make sure that you use the main account and not a guest account. The guest accounts are blocked from communicating with other devices on the network

Thanx for the swift reply, i appreciate it. No, i'm not on a public wifi of any sort. I'm on my home wifi. It has worked occasionally in the past, but not now. No settings or hardware has changed at all. Makes no sense to me.

Did you try resetting your wifi router? Sometimes the router needs to be reset to refresh all connections. After you reset the router please join the network again from your computer and your device and try the transfer process again.

Here are other points to check if you continue having problems:

* Type the address exactly as it appears inside of the app including the 'http://' and ':8080' parts

* Try quitting the app, turning off wifi and turning it on again. Then, go back to the app and try the address again from your computer's web browser

* Make sure that you type the address directly on the address bar and not on the search bar.

I hope one of these things helps you. Let me know how it goes after you try resetting the router. If the problem persists please let me know what brand and model of wifi router you are using to check if there is anything special about your router.
