Transfer from iPhone to iPad without local wifi network?
I would like to transfer full resolution photos and videos from my iPhone to iPad (hence Photo Stream is not of much use) when traveling to remote places where I do not have a wifi connection. I am trying to be "PC free" so the approach of setting up adhoc network using a laptop is not desirable since then I may as well carry a usb cable.
I would like to use this app to transfer between the iPhone and iPad without a local wifi network i.e. either by creating an adhoc network within the iPhone or iPad OR using bluetooth. Is this doable or are there alternatives. I realize $29 camera connection kit is one option (which I have) but I was considering returning it and using the $2.99 app. Please tell me it is possible! Thanks.

Thanks for contacting us. Yes, you can transfer photos from iPhone to iPad without using a local wifi network by using the Bluetooth transfer option. However, you will I don't think you will be able to install the app on your iPhone 3G running iOS3.1.3 as our latest update of the app requires iOS 4.0 as a minimum. Sorry about this. I would suggest to update your iPhone 3G to iOS4 to be able to use the app. The latest version of iOS4 should run smoothly on the iPhone 3G.
I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other question or comment.

Photo Transfer App
Is there any older version that works on 3.1.3 that I can manually install on the iPhone. I had to downgrade my iPhone 3g from 4.2.1 to 3.1.3 due to the performance issues. I cannot go back to 4.x as it becomes unbearably slow. If you can send me a link for the older version of the app, that would be great so that I can use in tandem with my iPad.
btw, apart from bluetooth, is there any way to make the app emulate a wifi hotspot similar to the eye-fi cards?
There is no really a way to emulate a wifi hotspot unfortunately. Apple does not allow such a functionality from a third party app.
