Upward Limit on Video file size?

parksj 13 years ago updated 13 years ago 3
Is there an upward limit on file size that the app will handle? I inadvertently copied off a 38 minute HD video from the 4s and I am now trying to add it back. The file is 6.4GB in size. I know it will take forever to transfer back, but the app doesn't do anything when trying to send from PC to the iPhone. I know the connection works because I can send photos and smaller videos with no issue. Lastly I have adjusted the settings to include a length of 10000 seconds and it is still not working. Any thoughts?
Dear Parksj,

Thanks for posting your question here. I will be more then happy to help you.

Make sure the video is in a .MOV format to transfer. Make sure you keep the app running when you attempt to transfer the video. Also are you transferring over a home wifi network or a public wifi network?

When you attempt to transfer it back to your iPhone from the PC do you receive any error messages per chance? Also did you make any modifications to the video or was it taken from the iPhone 4S?

Thanks!

All I did was copy the video to the PC from the file brower prior to getting the app. It is still native .mov with no modiications. The app is running during the attempted transfer. From the PC the app just doesn't do anything. I don't get a progess bar or anything. it is like the transfer is not even started.
Dear Parksj,

We just discovered a bug with the video upload function that is causing a issue with some video uploads causing the problem that you are experiencing. We already fixed it and we will be publishing an update to the app store very soon.

Apple takes a few days to approve an update so we expect the update with this fix to be available very soon. I apologize sincerely for this issue.

Thanks for your patience. I will get back to you as soon as the update is released.

Best regards,

Amber
