Hello,
Thanks for posting your question. The current version of the app allows to transfer videos from iPhone to computer only. By default you can't transfer videos from iPhone to iPad - this is because we were having some connectivity/memory issues with large videos so we decided not to included by default on the app.
However, this is the good news, we left that option as an advanced setting of the application. To enable video transfers from iPhone to iPad go to the Settings app on your iPad find the settings of our app ('Transfer') and then turn ON the device transfer setting. After that you should be able to transfer videos from iPhone to iPad. There is a catch though, please only transfer videos that are shorter than 1 minute. The app seems to run out of memory and crash with videos larger than 1 minute, that's why we didn't release it as a default option. We are working hard to get the problem resolved and have a new software update soon with this activated by default. But at least for now you can start transferring some short videos (1 min. or less to avoid crashes). Make sure that your iPhone and iPad have good wifi signal to avoid any network connection interruption while transferring videos.
We would appreciate if you can report any issues you find with this feature if you decide to use it. You can email us at: support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com.
Hi Dorothy,
Send us an email to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com with some details of the connecting problem that you are having and we'll be glad to help you out.
Just bought this app and assumed I could just transfer video. Halfway through copying loads of photos/videos but now my iPad crashes everytime when I go to Photo Album and scroll down the pics. Help!
Thanks for using Photo Transfer App. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. Yes, you can transfer videos with our app. Is the crash occurring when you scroll really fast on the photos? I would recommend to delete some of the photos to reduce the total number of images stored on the album. It looks like there is a problem with the iPad 'Photos' app that is causing the crash when there are a lot of photos stored on one album. Here are couple of links with some discussions about the problem:
In any case, we recommend to have a max of 200 to 300 pictures on the album to avoid this problem. Also, make sure that you update your iPad to the latest Apple software (3.2.2)
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions or comments.
Hello. Does the thumbnail of the video appear on the web page? If yes, there should be a link to download the video right under the thumbnail. Please note that you need to download the video individually. One thing you can try to do is to right-click the video instead of clicking it directly and then choosing 'save target as..' (or similar) which should allow you to select the place on your hard drive where you want to save it.
