Can one transfer a photo from Mail to Photo on an iPad?

If you get a photo in Mail on the iPad, it would be great to be able to transfer it to the PHOTO collection.
All you have to do, to transfer the photo from the iPad received mail, to your photo collection on the iPad, is to hold your finger down on the photo, and a iPad requester will pop-up with choices.

One of those choices will be to save the image. This option should save it to the iPad "camera roll", for you to view in the photos section of the iPad.

After that, you can do what you want with the image, normally done with photos on the iDevice.
I suspect that works for iPad2. On iPad 1, there is an arrow, which has a drop down menu with Save Image. It is automatically sent to the iPhoto collection.
Hi, this arrow also shows on the iPad2. :)

It should be available as well, on the iPad1, to hold your finger down on the photo, without removing it, or moving, until a requester pops up with saving options, to save or copy.

I don't know where "copy" puts it, but "save photo" always puts it to the photos section called "camera roll". Isn't this where you expect it to go?

If i remember, It had this feature even in the older iOS 4.
