Cannot transfer Canon SX220 .MOV files from Ipad to PC
Have just bought Photo Transfer app to try to transfer .MOV files from my iPad2 to my PC. The files won't play on my iPad just show as a grey sqaure with .MOV in the middle. I wanted to see whether the file content is OK when I transfer it to a PC but it won't transfer - just says Error - Unknown asset type. Can anyone help please?

Thanks for the response. This is something of a disappointment as the reason I bought the app is to transfer jpegs and .mov files from my camera to my iPad2 via the Camera Connection Kit while on holiday and then be able to transfer them to my PC when I get home using Photo Transfer.
I really hope that you can fix this before I go on holiday in the summer!
Kind Regards

Thanks for your comments. We have created a fix for this issue but we are still waiting for Apple to approve it. We've sent multiple emails to the app review team and everything they say is that we need to wait and that they will be in touch with us. As you can imagine this is very frustrating for us as well, as others pointed out it normally takes just a few days to get an update approved but this time for some reason Apple is taking very very long to do it.

I hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply but I'm a little confused. The thread you linked discusses PC to iPad but I'm assuming it's the same functionality but that thread shows that the problem was fixed before Christmas. As I downloaded the app only a few days ago, I'm assuming I got the updated "fixed" version?
Kind Regards
Clare
Sorry about the confusion. The problem you are having is different that the one that Amber described. The app is not recognizing your file as a valid type of asset because it can't be played on the iPad and our app is currently only accepting files that are playable on the iPad.
I just tried something similar as you described using a different format and realized that is an issue with our application. Our app should actually recognize that file even when is not playable by the iPad and should be able to transfer it. We will review this issue with more time and try to solve it for the next update of the app. I'm sorry about this issue. We will post something here when this is resolved.
Kind regards,
Enrique
