The Backup Photo Album option only allows me to backup a maximun of 10,390 photos from any one folder when I have over 30,000 photos in one folder I need to backup.
HI Aaron,

Thanks for all the information. We are investigating the issue and we think we found the potential cause. We will implement a solution and do some testing to roll out a fix asap. If you want to help us with the testing let us know and we can send you a beta version of the app so you can test it. Send us an email to support [at] phototransferapp [dot] com if you want to get the beta.

Thanks again for your help and sorry for this issue.

Best,

Enrique
I am having the exact same problem. Need more testers?

And I'm on iPhone 5, iOs 7.0.2
Thanks Shayne. Sorry for not responding earlier. Yes, we got your email. I will send you details on how to get the beta as soon as we have it ready next week. I'll contact you via email.

Best regards,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hi Enrique. I updated me app with your new release, but it didn't solve the problem. Hope I can try the Beta version soon!
Hello,

I have a similar problem with the backup photo album option. When I try to backup my camera roll with a little more then 2000 photos I get a "load album contents" error. If I select some album with few photos it works fine.

Any advice?

Tomas

Hello!

Thank you for contacting us, I apologies for the delay in response!

Please check that your devices are close to the wifi router to make sure that you have the best connection possible and no network interruptions occur.

Please let me know if this helps!

Best,

Amber
Hello,

I'm just next to the wifi AP, never had problem with this. Everything works but the backup function of the Camera Roll in my iPhone. I can transfer individual photos. With my iPad the backup works flawlessly. I'm using the win companion app on Win7, iPhone 4, iOS and the app are updated.

Tomas
Any update on this? I have the same exact error when trying to back up ~1200 photos from the Camera Roll on my iPhone. Wifi is good. Apps are updated. Individual transfers ok.
Hi Aaron,

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Can you tell me what iPhone do you have (3GS, 4, 4S, 5?). Also tell me what version of iOS you are using on it so I can understand were the problem may be.

And, if you can tell me a few more details of how the problem occurs that would be good, like for example, does the app closes on your iPhone when trying to backup? and does the backup actually start but stops at 1200 photos, or never starts?

Thanks for your helping us making the app better.

Best,

Enrique
Photo Transfer App
Hi Enrique. It looks like I'm having the same problem as the others above. Nothing special with what I'm doing. Here's my steps:

1. I open up both apps (iPhone and Windows)
2. I discover the iPhone (it connects fine - altho it does list the phone twice. Once from auto-discovery and once from a manual discovery I set-up initially. Selecting either works just fine).
3. Once selected (iPhone shows "Client Connected"), I select the "Camera Roll" albumn. (~1200 Photos come up. 100/page).
4. I then click on "Backup Albumns", reselect the "Camera Roll" and click "Start Backup".
5. Next thing I see is the "Error - Load Albumn Contents" window that was included in a post above.

Note: I had changed the Backup Setting (new path and show status), so I thought something there might be causing the problem...but resetting back to defaults caused the same error.

I'm using iPhone 4. iOS 6.1.3
Hello Chris!

Thank you for posting your question here, I will be happy to help you!

30,000 photos is a lot! :) But our app should be able to handle them.

What error are you getting when you reach the 10,390th photo? is the app not allowing you to continue? If you could provide a little more information about when happens when you try to continue, that would be really helpful!

Thank you!

Best,

Amber
