Transfer from iPhone 4

Hi, am using the App on iPhone 4 and iPad. It works transferring photos from my iPad to iPhone 4 but not the other way round from iPhone 4 to iPad - which is obviously the more important one for me.
My partner has iPhone 3GS and I tested it on that and that works fine with transferring to my iPad

Thanks for using Photo Transfer App and for posting your question here. Please make sure that you are using the latest version of our app. Version 1.3 fixes some compatibility issues with iPhone 4. You can check for updates using the 'App store' app on your iPhone.

Using version 2.0 on iOS4.1 on iPhone 4.

Can send from iPad to iPhone (automatically finds iPhone) and can send from iPhone to iPad if I type in manual address but cannot get iPad to find iPhone.
I have the same problem. My iPhone 4 can automatically find my iPad but never vice versa. If I type in the address manually it works, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having the discovery mode.
And, yes, both iDevices have the latest version of the app.

Thanks for posting your comments here. I'm sorry you are having problems with the app.

We are aware of this issue. We have discovered a bug that prevents the auto-discovery to work when an iPhone has an apostrophe (') on the name. For example if the iPhone is called "Marc's iPhone", the iPad will not find it on the network :(

We fixed the problem and submitted an update to Apple last Tuesday but they take several days to approve the update. We hope the update will be approved sometime between tomorrow and Wednesday.

In the meantime you should be able to use the manual entry. Or another option is to rename your iPhone. To rename your device open iTunes, connect your iPhone and then just click on your iPhone name in the Navigation Menu on the left side, wait about a second then click again and it should open up the Field for editing. After you rename your device and remove the apostrophe the auto-discovery should start working.

I apologize for this issue. Hopefully Apple approves the update very soon. Thanks for your patience.

Hello everyone,

Photo Transfer App 2.0.1 was approved by Apple today and now is available as a free update on the app store. Please download the update which should fix the issue with the auto discovery mechanism when the device has an apostrophe on the name. Don't forget to update the application on your iPhone as well as your iPad.

Please note that sometimes (depending on the traffic in the network) it may take one or two attempts to establish communication between the devices.

I am trying to transfer videos from iPhone to iPad. Both have the required OS. But I keep getting a message on the ipad saying that the asset is not compatible and error 303. Can you please help?

Please make sure that you have the updated version of our app on both devices. 4.01 for iOS devices and 2.5.1 for Android. Also please let us know what type and version of devices you are using for both iPhone and iPad.

I would also like to suggest that you open the "Photos" app before opening our app to make sure your photo database is updated.

Hello

I am running the right version. The movies are in .mov format. Both devices are on the same wifi network at home. The photo app is open on my iphone ( send deviçe)I have checked all these things. I now get a message saying error contacting device on my ipad ( the receiving device) even though it has my iphone listed. Also happens if i enter the ip address manually.

Any ideas?
